Measure Performance of VRS Model using Simulation Approach by Comparing COCOMO Intermediate Model in Software Engineering
نویسنده
چکیده
Estimation of a software project failure is based on project analogies in the area of software cost estimation. In all software cost estimation approaches important decisions must be made regarding certain approaches in order to obtain reliable estimate. A reliable and accurate estimate can be proved by simulation approach. A simulation modeling approach is proposed for the prediction of software effort productivity indices, such as cost and time-to-market, and the sensitivity analysis of such indices to changes in the organization parameters and user requirements. Simulation provides a controlled environment for evaluating performance. Changes can be made easily to the model and results evaluated quickly. In this paper we measure performance of VRS model through simulation result by comparing standard COCOMO Intermediate-Organic Model. This approach uses a model specification. Results demonstrate the model representativeness, and its usefulness in verifying process conformance to expectations, and in performing continuous process improvement and optimization. A New Optimized Hybrid Model Based On COCOMO to Increase the Accuracy of Software Cost Estimation
The literature review shows software development projects often neither meet time deadlines, nor run within the allocated budgets. One common reason can be the inaccurate cost estimation process, although several approaches have been proposed in this field. Recent research studies suggest that in order to increase the accuracy of this process, estimation models have to be revised. The Construct...

This paper presents a layered model which determines the software metrics in the lower layer it consists of three primitive primary software engineering metrics; they are person-months (PM), function-points (FP), and lines of code (LOC). The middle layer consists of the proposed function point which is obtained by grouping the adjustment factors. The proposed method uses fuzzy logic for quantif...

The Authors have proposed a model that first captures the fundamentals of software metrics in the phase 1 consisting of three primitive primary software engineering metrics; they are personmonths (PM), function-points (FP), and lines of code (LOC). The phase 2 consists of the proposed function point which is obtained by grouping the adjustment factors to simplify the process of adjustment and t...
